The Nintendo 3DS is Nintendo's eighth generation handheld, succeeding the Nintendo DS. The handheld launched in early 2011. The main features are the glasses-free screen, a gyrometer as well as a more robust digital platform. It competes with the PlayStation Vita as well as mobile.
