Games[]
Yo-Kai Watch[]
Yo-Kai Watch was a very unique game in terms of sales curves. At launch, it was far from successful, selling about 50 thousand copies. However, as the anime started airing in January 2014, its sales quickly rose that it was outselling launch week on a weekly basis. Even the announcement of the sequels in March 2014 did not slow it down. It was not until the sequels were released that the game started to lower from the top ten. Even in the end of 2014, the game is still selling a couple thousand a week.
Yo-kai Watch 2: Ganso & Honke[]
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Shin'uchi[]
This is a third version of Yo-kai Watch 2 that came out to tie in with the movie. Despite this having little content difference from Ganso & Honke, it nearly matched their combined launch week sales.
Other Media[]
Yo-kai Watch is heavily invested in other forms of media that it has also been very successful in Japan.
Anime[]
The Anime has been tremendously popular, surpassing Pokemon on the weekly ratings. It's first movie had over 1 million tickets preordered for it, which is one of the highest ticket preorders in recent times.
